The underlying records are published by official city, county, and state sources (including Socrata, ArcGIS, Accela, Tyler EnerGov, and CKAN). The "trailing 90 days" window uses each permit's issued date, falling back to filed date. "With contractor" counts permits carrying a non-empty contractor/business name in the source record.
Coverage caveats: coverage varies by jurisdiction — some cities publish contractor names, others only addresses; some publish daily, others weekly. This index reflects covered cities, not every U.S. jurisdiction. A new snapshot replaces the headline only after the worker completes its checks.
